Why does this work?
Research has shown that the simple act of writing down a commitment to do something (aka. an Implementation Intention) can dramatically increase the odds that you'll follow through with it.
Where did the idea come from?
The New York Times best selling book, Atomic Habits, by author James Clear digs into the reserach that's been done on this technique and why it's effective. The book also covers tons of other insights and tactics around how to build habits in your life.

Nope, just a fan of the work.
Why did you create this?
I wanted to create some stronger habits in my own life. Right now I'm working on meditating more consistently.
What kind of habits does this help build?
Anything you want. Diet, exercise, reading, time with loved ones, work, writing, meditation...again, pretty much anything.
Does the site save my results?
Nope. When you refresh the page, it resets the template.
Then why does it work?
The power is simply in the act of typing it in. That action creates a commitment in your brain.
Couldn't I just write it down on a piece of paper or a doc on my computer?
Of course! But then you wouldn't get all the awesome colors, sounds, and cat gifs. Totally up to you.
